I run SDL Studio 2017 Freelance Plus in a VM.
After the VM crashed and could not be restored, I had to set up a new Windows environment and reinstall Studio.
I was obviously not able to deativate the Studio installation in the corrupt VM, and now I can't reset the licence.
I would be very grateful if you could reset my licence so that I can activate Studio again.

You can reset your own license by using the Self Service option in your MySDL account for SDL Trados 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2021.
Use this KB article ( gateway.sdl.com/.../communityknowledge ) and follow the instructions.

There is no reset option next to the licence.
Note the article says this:
NOTE: If you do not see the Reset License link this means that you have an SDL Trados Studio Freelance Plus license and you did not use all your available activations yet. The link only appears if you have used all your activations.

So you do have a spare activation available to you. So I guess your real question is "I have a plus licence, but I have lost one of them because of a corrupt VM where I run Studio. Please can yo reset it as it's not possible for me to do this."

Sorry, my mistake!! I was confused by the infos for my licence and didn't realise that I had an extra activation and could use the same activation code again.
Everything is now OK.

It's not ok. You should have access to two licences and you paid for it. But you've lost one and you won't be able to reset it. This requires support to do this for you.

That's true... I only use one Windows environment, so at least I can now use Studio in an activated state.
