I have purchased Trados Studio 2021 Starter and my license is activated. I have a problem because when I open Trados, it's impossible to create a new project, the option is in grey. Could you help me pls ?

The Starter version is the basic version and has several limitations. It is ideal if you are working mainly with single files translation and also with SDLPPX project packages received from your customers, so the option being greyed out it is one of the Starters limitations,

I think I've made a mistake when purchasing this license since I need a license enabling me to create projects. Is it possible to change anything ? Does that mean I have to pay again the whole sum for the right license ?

With the starter version you can translate as a single file , so can not create a project, but you can still translate documents individually. If you would require more features from your Trados Studio and included the option to create projects , use more TMs then the only solution would be to upgrade your Starter to a freelance version
