SDL Trados Studio 2021 SR1 - 16.1.3.4096 multiple issues

Question

Dear all,

1. SDL Trados Studio 2021 SR1 - 16.1.3.4096 (installed in January) started crashing with no error / reason after something strange happened - 2. my license was automatically de-activated and because I have several projects on the pipe I had to re-activate it using the extra-activation available for the Plus license.

3. Word count is showing randomly "0" values even if the progress bar is green over 80%, and almost every time I insert a new document in any of the projects already created or when creating a new project I get a fabulous

It is a clean OS - recently bought laptop, no previous reinstalls, no previous versions of Studio...

Any suggestion is very much appreciated.

 1. Is Studio still crashing? Where are your resources (projects, TMs, Termbases, etc.) saved, locally on your computer or on a shared drive? If they are on a shared drive please copy them locally and check if the issue persists. If they are saved locally please try to run a Repair installation for Studio: https://gateway.rws.com/csm?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0039395 or to reset it to default settings: https://gateway.rws.com/csm?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0033669 
 2. I`ve reset your previous activation so you can use it when needed. 
 3. Please open a new thread for this issue on the relevant forum as this is not an installation or licensing issue: community.sdl.com/.../studio

 1. Yes. All resources are available locally and the drive is shared for back-up purposes, OneDrive is not synced when using Trados as I faced many issues with the 2014 version because of this. I will try to make the repair as suggested.
