Since I installed the latest Studio 2019 update yesterday I cannot use Concordance ("There was a problem while searching). I have totally uninstalled and reinstalled Trados (even the files) and had to enter license number again but nothing has changed. I believe others have had this issue. I have tried everything I've found on the web, posted by users and the community, but to no avail and I have a huge translation to do.

Is this happening for local TMs, server-based TMs or for both?
If it happens for local TMs, where are they located, locally on your PC or on a shared drive?
If it happens for server-based TMs let me know what version of GroupShare are you using.

Thanks for your reply. It happens with server-based TMs. I don’t have any others. My client (huge agency) tells me that 2017 uses GroupShare but mine is 2019.

Please ask your client what version of Groupshare they have. If it`s Groupshare 2015 then you have to install Studio 2019 CU7 to be able to work with server-based TMs.

Thanks, I'll do so but I have been working like this previously in Studio 2019 (and before that in every previous version of Studio ) without adding anything else. They told me they have GroupShare 2017.
However, just to clarify exactly what the problem is because I have just opened the translation again and tried to see exactly what happens I can now report that the Concordance/Matches appears be working because some of the target is populating on the right and giving me percentages. What is absolutely not working is the CONCORDANCE SEARCH. I can send you photos. This means that I am connecting to the TM on the server and total and partial matches are filling the target. What I cannot do is look up anything via Concordance Search.
The warning on the amber strip under the Concordance section reads "There was a problem while searching. See the messages window for more information.
The message referred to reads: "an error has occurred when using the translation provider".
Whether I highlight a common word or a group of words in the source I get the same error messages.

I did ask but they don't have a support contract! The link you directed me to says to downgrade, but I don't know how as it's not on the downloads page and the SDL chat is incapable of telling me where the link to the previous version is.

Before I saw your last message I had already deleted absolutely everything related to SDL. I then downloaded the old (CU7) version from the link you sent me and it worked. I am so relieved.
I certainly hope that the developers at SDL will learn from this. I will never do an update again after wasting three entire days.
If it ain't broke, don't mend it.
