There is a possibility that the SDL Trados Studio 2017 Freelance was purchased on a different SDL account, as the license can only be linked to the account where it was purchased from.
We can search for your license on a different account, so for security purposes, can you please send an email to sdltradosinfo@sdl.com with the order number for your purchase or an email for the SDL account?
