Just use the "Open Project" icon:

Then browse to the location of your project... where you saved it when you were working in the trial version.  Select the *.sdlproj file, which is the project file telling Studio where to find everything, and open it.

Thanks, Paul. That doesn't seem to work for me as all I have are two docx files (the source text and the target text). Basically, what I want to do is import the translation I have already done (using the trial version) into the subscription version by creating a new project.

Ah... I misunderstood you.  In this case you can align your files to create a translation memory and then, if you want to recreate your project you would create a new project using the source file and the aligned TM, then pre-translate the project.  Now you'll have the project as it probably was in the trial version.  You can find some information here on how to align:

But just to confirm... you actually deleted all your old projects?  So you didn't just install the subscription version, which is exactly the same as the trial (subscription is only the way to licence it), you actually uninstalled the trial and then deleted all your project files?

ok - so this would be the *.sdlproj:

You are working with the file extensions hidden in windows and this makes it very difficult to identify the files other than relying on the icons.  So these for example:

Amadeo EN ORIG (1).docx.sdlproj

Amadeo EN ORIG (1).docx.sdlxliff

If you show the extensions it'll be obvious to you.

However!!!  You have clearly made a mistake here because the folder you are in looks like the source language folder en-US.  If you go up a level you'll find the *.sdlproj in there and that is the one you need.  It looks to me as though you opened the file again inside the source language folder and duplicated the project, hence the (1) at the end of the files.  I don't know where your translations actually are now as I don't know what you did first.  But I guess if you use the first thing I suggested and open the *.sdlproj then you'll find out as this one of them will probably be the translated project.

ok - so you purchased the Starter subscription and not the Freelance Subscription.

You cannot align.  But given you've got the project files as noted above why do you even need to do this?  Can't you simply open the sdlproj or even the sdlxliff files?

You're being very patient, thank you! It is all very technical for me, believe it or not!

When I open the project, all I get is the left-hand columns with source language segment; the right hand side is all blank even though I have about 70% of it translated (using the trial version). I even have the docx containing the target version (As you see ablove). But I am unable to get the target text to appear when I open the project.

As I noted before you seem to have created a nested project by creating a new project within an existing project.  Try opening all the *.sdlxliff files you can find under the parent folder "Amadeo".  Work through the folders you have created and open each sdlxliff one at a time.  I think it's likely that one of them will contain the translations.

If you open File Explorer and check the box to show the file extensions it will be easier for you to find the right files:

Nope. That didn't work either, I'm afraid. All that happens when I open the  *.sdlxliff files is that I get the left-hand column with source text but nothing in the target text. I even tried starting from scratch and recreating the project but to no avail.

Please list here ALL subfolders of the folder called Amadeo.

These are files within the subfolder en-US of main folder Amadeo. I asked for the content of the folder Amadeo. Please go up one level:

Sorry, I've forgotten you have the Starter edition. In this case double click the ga-IE folder to open its content. There you will find sldlxiff files, which should contain your translation. Open these and translate one by one.
