Thank you for the suggestion, but I tried all that.

I have now managed to follow the reset video again with a new file extension and it worked. I managed to get back into a new version of Trados, but do not dare to try and install Memsource plugins again (Jesse Good) via Trados App store.

I now cannot open Memsource files in Trados anymore... so much for installing updates...

Jesse Good has not made a plugin for 2021. I suggest you uninstall whatever you installed and search again for the mxliff filetype using the Trados Studio integrated AppStore. This will ensure you are using the right plugin that is actually maintained by us.

Thank you, I couldn't get into Trados at all, but have now managed to reset to an older version of Trados 2021 with the video from SDL.

Previously the Plugins for Memsource and the editor was on my maschine but the file type was not recognised anymore. I think it crashed again with the above error message after I installed this this Plugin from within the AppStore in Trados Studio: MXLIFF File Type, although something similar (file type) was already installed.

**Updated versions 2.6.3.0 (2019) & 3.6.3.0 (2021)a new Version 3.6.2.0
- fixed an issue when creating mxliff projects

This plugin adds filetype support to Studio for the Memsource flavour of XLIFF which is identified as MXLIFF.
