A few days ago I could not access Trados Studio at all after installing update and trying to use the Memsource plugin (uploading Memsource files into Trados, what I used to be able to do).

Error message "Sdl.TranslationStudio.AlignmentEditor.IAlignmentEditorService" could not be found.

Dragos sent instructions to reset to the old version of Trados. It worked.

The plugins still seemed to be there, but I could not upload Memsource files (file type not recognised)... after installing another such plugin for Studio 2021 I got the same message again (as above) and cannot enter Trados AT ALL.

I tried to follow the same instructions, but I am not sure how as the extension old has already been added... and what I did, didn't work.

Please help!

    Jesse Good has not made a plugin for 2021. I suggest you uninstall whatever you installed and search again for the mxliff filetype using the Trados Studio integrated AppStore. This will ensure you are using the right plugin that is actually maintained by us.

    Hi Paul,

    Thank you, I couldn't get into Trados at all, but have now managed to reset to an older version of Trados 2021 with the video from SDL.

    Previously the Plugins for Memsource and the editor was on my maschine but the file type was not recognised anymore. I think it crashed again with the above error message after I installed this this Plugin from within the AppStore in Trados Studio: MXLIFF File Type, although something similar (file type) was already installed.

    **Updated versions 2.6.3.0 (2019) & 3.6.3.0 (2021)a new Version 3.6.2.0
    - fixed an issue when creating mxliff projects

    Previous updates
    - Updated plugin available to download with the release of SDL Trados Studio 2021(due soon).
    - Version 2.6.2.0 for Studio 2019
    - Updated versions for Studio 2021 & 2019- fixing an error when uploading file to Memsource
