Did Studio not even show the main error dialogue, if it did can you add the stack trace?

Is there any logging in the C:\ProgramData\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\Studio16\logs folder?

Have you installed the latest c++ runtimes (2019 version) The latest supported Visual C++ downloads (microsoft.com)

no there is just nothing. ATM it is working sometimes and sometimes not. In an attemp where it was not working I renamed the folder

C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio 

and after this it really started. In the folder was only 1 file.

So I reinstalled the pc and tried again: SLD starts without problems. So I am just doing a reinstall and try it again tomorrow. I will have then a look after logs folder. Didn't knew this before.

And yes, c++ is installed with "Microsoft_Visual C++_2015-2019_x86_EN". Your link is not working but I still have it. And yes, I am stoll working with the "SDL Trados Studio 2021 - Enterprise Deployment Guide".

I think I just found the failure. I tink it is addicted with the XML which is copied into the appdata path. It will test it tomorrow and give here a feedback.

I found the failure. It was actually a problem with the UserSettings file. It should be in the path

C: \ Users \ <USERNAME> \ AppData \ Roaming \ SDL \ SDL Trados Studio \ Studio16

Copying didn't work properly and I got a file named "studio16" instead of the folder. This then interrupts the SDL installation.

It's working now. Thank you all for your help!
