After installing SR2, DeepL needs to be removed and installed the version that match the SR2, this can be achieved via integrated AppStore.

I applied 1) (repair): NOK
I applied 2) (reset basis settings): NOK.

In both cases, it refuses to connect to the AppStore.

My internet connection is fine.
My license is fine.

The only proposed version of the DeepL api is the same. The one and only for Trados 2021, irrespective of the SR.
I can't figure why installing SR2 bugs it .

I've been using Studio 2019 instead since the problem appeared.

I do have access to the site of the AppStore directly from the browser.
I log in, choose the DeepL plugin version for Trados 2021, download the exe
and... the installer crashes, systematically.

What can it be, then?

What happens if you try to open it from the Add-Ins tab? Have you tried?  Is it the same error message that's being triggered?

Also, please ensure you remove the plugin manually from all the below locations:

c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\16\Plugins\Packages\
c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\16\Plugins\Unpacked\

c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\16\Plugins\Packages\
c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\16\Plugins\Unpacked\

c:\ProgramData\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\16\Plugins\Packages\
c:\ProgramData\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\16\Plugins\Unpacked\

From the Add-Ins tab, nothing is listed.

All the locations you mention are empty.




This means it has been correctly removed,
but then I cannot reinstall.
Why does the installation .exe fail?...

I have rebooted the machine twice.
I have deactivated the antivirus temporarily.
I have whitelisted the relevant SDL sites.

There is no exe for this plugin.  You should have downloaded an sdlplugin.  Is this what you have?

If you have this, and if double clicking it doesn't start the plugin manager to install it please try copy the sdlplugin file into this folder and then restart Trados Studio:

c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\16\Plugins\Packages\

But before you do this please make sure the one you are attempting to install is the latest version from the appstore.
