License activation after multiple years, SDL 2017

It is frustrating that SDL has no direct customer support. I have been using SDL Trados 2017 for years and today it asked me for activation all of a sudden. I spent nearly half a day researching and trying different methods to resolve the issue. Yet, I ended up giving up. 

How could not an international company whose product is being used by millions around the world have a direct and responsive customer support?

  • Yes, it has been resolved now. I have thanked them for that. It was like a magic fix on their end. I tried resetting the license code in my account so many times and did not work for me. They indeed have a support system but we can't deny that that system is not generally customer friendly or easy. That is why you see complaint posts. Always great to listen to customers/clients and improve one's business system than defending!

    I have one other question to the community of SDL, why does not SDL ever work on Mac/iOS, why only on Windows leaving out or troubling thousands, if not millions, of Mac/iOS user translators? Thinking
