
Yes, to use Studio 2021 you need a 2021 license and you can upgrade your current 2017 license to 2021 as described in this article: https://gateway.rws.com/csm?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0039975
Note: For Freelance licenses like your is not necessary to deactivate the current version.

This is what I thought: I need a license number for Trados Studio 2021 as well. BUT: If I go to my licenses page on RWS, only the license for Trados Studio 2017 is shown. I will have a look into the link you sent me ;).
If I don't need to deactivate my Trados 2017 freelance license, I can run both versions on my computer? 2017 AND 2021. Is this correct?
