Unable to receive a license on Windows TS

Question

Hello, 
 We are in the process of modifying our IT infrastructure. 
 Currently, we have a "Network SN" type license that we share between several Windows 10 clients from a license server. We've decided to set up a Windows TS server for some of our users. 
 When we try to retrieve the license from a TS session, we get this error message: "This application can only be activated using a license server when Remote Desktop Service is installed". Then, the license server doesn't seem to be communicating with the TS session. 
 My question is, is my license type compatible with the Windows TS system? And if so, how do I go about receiving my license in a TS session?

Hello Nancy Matis 
 Can you ping the license server from the terminal server? Is port UDP 5093 open on the terminal server? 
 If yes, what happens when you click on Activate > Alternative activation options > Use a license server > type your license server name > click "Activate"? 
 Which is the exact version of Studio installed on the TS? Which is the exact version of License Manager installed on the license server?

Hello Nancy Matis 
 I`ve checked your account and you have a Network license for Studio 2021 so that`s the reason why you cannot connect Studio 2022, it only works for Studio 2021. 
 If you want to use Studio 2022 there are 2 things you need to do: 
 1. Upgrade your license from 2021 to 2022 (this means that you will only be able to use Studio 2022 once the upgrade is processed): https://gateway.sdl.com/apex/communityknowledge?articleName=000001319 
 2. Install the latest version of License Manager on the license server (it is not necessary to uninstall the current version): https://downloadcentercdn.sdl.com/tp/Trados/T2022/Licensing/SR2_CU10/LicenseServerManager17.0.134.exe
