The problem is most probably caused by the Kantan plug-in as you have Studio 2022 SR1 and the version of the plugin is only for previous version. 

Please contact the plug-in developer and ask them to configure and provide a version of the plugin compatible with Studio 2022 SR1. They can be contacted here: support@kantanmt.com

I already contacted them and the problem seems to be that I do have Kantan 4.1.3 in the Trados apps but the error message for the failing connection states Kantan 4.1.2 - which is definitely not the one I downloaded from the RWS app store. This is why I think that there may be a connection with the fact that Studio also does not let me log in. And Kantan support use the same Trados version and the same Kantan app. It's working for them.

I can login to the cloud directly through a browser, but not from within Studio. From within Studio, I get the above error message

my problem was fixed by support in September by going back to an older version, I was told that one other person had the same problem and was advised not to installed updates during the next 3-4 weeks. I did and it worked well, then there was new version some weeks ago, also a new Kantan plugin. Everything worked perfectly again - until just now. I installed the version that was offered within Studio half an hour ago - and .... same problem again! No connection to the cloud (although I can work in the cloud if I login in the browser. But no connection from/to Studio.

Can someone please let me go back to the old version I had yesterday again? 

New versions offered within the program should actually be safe to install.

In this case try to uninstall the current version of Studio from Control Panel and then download and install the previous one from the following link: https://downloadcentercdn.sdl.com/TP/Trados/T2022/Studio/CUs/CU8/TradosStudio2022_SR1_CU8_17828.zip
