Need to reinstall Trados on broken laptop.

I need to reinstall Trados on a broken laptop (now mended). From what I can see in these forums, I need to open a support case. I have Trados Studio 2017 Freelance installed (and working fine) on a PC. And I had an extra activation for the laptop (now with a new hard disk). Many thanks in advance.

    Thanks again. I thought the reset was "global" but from your explanation, it seems to be device-specific.

    So I log onto my account on the laptop, download and install the Trados software, reset the licence from that laptop and then use that activation that will hopefully become available? Is this the correct procedure? I can do all this with Trados open and running on my PC?

    Sorry for the extra questions, but I want to clear I am doing the right thing. I cannot differentiate the licences by date (there is one Freelance Plus licence, which includes an extra activation).
