Try the following steps:

1. Close Studio.
2. Go to: C:\ProgramData\Trados\Trados Studio\Studio17\Data
3. Rename the file Studio.lic, e.g. to Studio_old.lic.
4. Reactivate Studio with your subscription: https://gateway.sdl.com/apex/communityknowledge?articleName=000013347

Note: If you can't find the path above, open Windows File Explorer, click on View and check "Hidden Items" checkbox.

THere's no Data folder in the C:\ProgramData\Trados\Trados Studio\Studio17\Data

I’ve had time to think about this and come up with a possible solution.

The situation:

After purchasing my licence, I looked in the download section of my account. I was surprised that there was no new file to download. I was told that the installation .exe file was the one to download, which I queried several times. However, this file is Trados 2022 from 2022, with a licence valid until March 2023 which I extended until march 2024.

The problem:

This version desn’t understand the new licencing system and expects a new licence number for reactivation, which is why the familiar interface appears.

The solution:

I need a 2022 version installation file which understands the new licencing system and offers me the Language Cloud Subscription option

Check the email address used to register on Communities, also check the Spam folder if you haven`t received any emails in your Inbox. The email was sent yesterday at 14:22 CET. Just reply to that email.

I repeat, I have not received any email from support and there's nothing in spam folder. my email address is the one you send updates to - steve.wilson@t-online.de.  PLease check that they have this address as all this started when I didn't receive information about the starter being withdrawn.
