You purchased an upgrade, not a separate license. This means you no longer have access to older versions. You can only use Trados 2021 if it is installed on the same PC as Trados 2022, but even so, your license rights extend only upon Trados 2022 Freelance Plus. You could use Trados 2019 in trial mode, the installer is still in your account, Products and Plans - Downloads. In any case, files are generally compatible. Could you please share more details about the problems you are encountering when trying to open the packages in Trados 2022?

Studio 2022 freezes very often, i.e. every five minutes or so, and I have to restart.

Of course I can use 2019 in Trial mode, but the trial license will soon expire :-(. Can you help me please? Thanks!

Does it just randomly freeze or does it freeze after confirming/opening a project etc.? Do you get any errors?

I cannot help you with Trados 2019, as you already upgraded from Trados 2019. Upgrading does not allow for keeping old licenses, for that you would need to have separate licenses.

Hi Elisa Maxim , it freezes randomly upon accessing a new segment (not when I open a file). Never displayed any error message. Any help with troubleshooting would be very appreciated, thank you!

Are you using files stored on Onedrive or any other cloud/flash drive? Does this happen with all projects?

In any case, an useful thing to try would be the reset (Workaround 2): https://gateway.sdl.com/apex/communityknowledge?articleName=000001414

it only happens with files coming from the one agency. Other packages work fine, so I don't think resetting would do. I confirm files areon my HDD, not on an external drive. Any other ideas? Thanks!

When uploading packages, kindly ensure to select the Open Project Package option from the Welcome view.

Could you kindly check if your Trados Studio is up to date? If you notice an orange bell in the top right corner, please complete any pending updates and restart Trados.
