My computer died yesterday and I lost everything on the hard drive. I need to set up trados on my new computer but obviously I can't deactivate the license on my old one.

Please try to reset the license from your RWS account as described in this article: https://gateway.sdl.com/apex/communityknowledge?articleName=000001616
Then try to reactivate it.
