Upgrading to Studio 2022 SR2 – disaster!

Question

I&rsquo;m trying to install Studio 2022 SR2 17.2.10.19084 on my Windows 11 machine. 
 I installed it, it wouldn&rsquo;t launch &ndash; Sdl.Desktop.Platform.CommandBars.IActionService could not be started. I tried the suggestions here involving renaming or deleting the Plugins folder &ndash; nothing worked. I then tried to uninstall from Control Panel, got an error message telling me to generate a debug log and contact technical support. I don&rsquo;t have a support contract, and SDL used to provide free support with installation (which has always been a major problem area!!) but no longer does, apparently. (I have a 7MB debug log, if anyone wants to read it &hellip;) 
 Since the installation involves removing previous versions, I re-ran the installation file, which duly completed. An attempt to launch the program generated the error message Sdl.Desktop.Platform.CommandBars.IActionService could not be started. 
 Help, please!
