Trados 2024 doesn`t open after installing last updat

After opening and configuring trados 2024 to start working I saw that I had a notification of a new update available. After downloading and installing it the computer would not shut down and trados did not respond, I managed to shut down the computer and when I opened Trados it did not complete the process and would not open. I have not been able to start working with it yet. Any help would be welcome, thank you very much.

    I would suggest the following:

    • disable your Anti-Virus (just temporarily)
    • install the update
    • make sure all is well
    • re-enable your Anti-Virus
    • Make sure everything is still ok

    This CU for 2024 is getting picked up by some AV applications and we are contacting the offending providers when we come across them.  It is a bit tricky because sometimes it's fine and other times it's not.  For example, I have W11 23H2, on my personal laptop and had no problems.  One of my colleagues, while testing has W11 24H2, and on that version Windows Defender prevented the install.

    So best thing is to disable whatever anti-virus you are using to get things installed and running, then re-enable and all should be well.  If that is the resolution for you please can you also confirm what AV you are using, and also what version of Windows.

  • Hi both of you, many thanks for your help but it still doesn't work. It doesn't open nor shows an error message. My Windows version is Windows 10 home 22H2. I have tried everything you have told me, using Trados freshstart with both configurations, renaming the files, uninstalling and installing as root with Windows defender overridden, and nothing works. I find it unbelievable that I have been unable to start using Trados 2024 for 3 weeks, these problems should not be attempted to be solved by a normal user. Please, I need URGENT TECHNICAL SUPPORT help. Thank you very much.
