Activation/deactivation failed - error code 403

Hello,

We're running into an issue trying to deactivate one of our “SDL Trados Studio 2019 Freelance” licenses.

The licence has been in use on Computer A (running Windows 10 Family) for a little while now.

We are renewing our IT equipment, and, after having installed Trados Studio 2019 on the new computer (computer B - running Windows 11), I went to deactivate the licence on Computer A.

However, when trying to deactivate it I get an error like the one below:

“Deactivation failed.

Could not connect to the activation server. Check the activation server address in the provider settings. - The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden.”

Error dialog box with a red cross icon saying 'Deactivation failed. Could not connect to the activation server. Check the activation server address in the provider settings. - The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden.' with an OK button.

I tried to reset the license from our RWS account. The license now appears to be free but on the PC where it was activated it still appears to be active.

Still, I tried to activate it on computer B, and got this message :

“Activation failed.

Could not connect to the activation server. Check the activation server address in the provider settings. - The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden.”

Please advise.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Kind regards,
