How to deactivate SDL Trados Studio 2021 Freelance Plus on broken laptop and install on new one

Hi Everyone!

I am trying to find the instructions on how to deactivate SDL Trados Studio 2021 Freelance Plus on my now exploded laptop. I thought it was under Licenses and Subscriptions. Where are the instructions located exactly on how to do the above? I thought there would be buttons on the Licenses and Subscriptions page. I am using the German language version by the way. Thanks a lot, Ian

  • Hallo Lucian,
A couple of weeks ago I had this problem with reactivating my Studio 2021 license on my new laptop, after my old laptop just died with Trados open and installed on it, therefore blocking my license as I had not deactivated that license - all details above.

I ended up just using the 30-day Trial version due to still not being able to activate my own license after outr conversation above.
The Trial has ended and I now tried again to activate the extra license on my new laptop.

It does not work. Am I entering the correct Activation code, I wonder?

I'd appreciate it if you could look at my screenshots (x5), explaining the steps I have perofmed. Something is wrong. I need Studio 2021 up and running ASAP as I have translation jobs due. Please could you tell me what I am doing wrong? Thanks so much.

Screen 1: Is the "ea98d...." number my Activation code??
