Total crash of Trados Studio 2024

A total crash od Trados Studio 2024. After my attempts, Studio shows only this initial screen, but after this, nothing happen.

What to do? How can I deactivate my licence, and reinstall Studio 2024?

I have try to deactivate it "off line" but it doesn work.

I am so unhappy that Studio is so user ostile!!!

Many thanks in advance for any suggestion.

    Please do NOT try to deactivate the program, this will cause even more trouble.

    If this does not help, delete the Plugin folder from here completely: C:\Users\Your_username\AppData\Roaming\Trados\Trados Studio\18

    If still no joy, go to your Documents folder, find Studio 2024 -> Projects there and rename Projects.xml to _Projects.xml

    This should force Trados to start. You project list might be empty afterwards, so you will need to either double click the *.sdlxliff file from each project folder or use the command "Open project" from the toolbar in the Projects view in Trados.

  • I have tried all these solutions several times, but Studio 2024 still does not work. In my very layman's opinion, there is an incompatibility between Language Weaver and Win10. Please advise me how to return the license in this state so that I can reinstall the entire program (I have the second license installed on my laptop). Win 10 only offers me to uninstall the program, not repair it. Thank you very much in advance for your advice on returning the license. Miroslava

    You can reinstall the whole program without returning the license. I would advise not to return the license at all. Please uninstall Trados Studio via the control panel, then uninstall Language Weaver too, if it is listed there. Uninstall also all other software called Studio from there. Use this app to remove remnants of the program from your PC: https://appstore.rws.com/Plugin/107

    Copy the downloaded installer of Trados Studio to your desktop. Right click on it and chose "Run as admin". Install TS this way. Do the same with the MultiTerm installer and install it again as admin.

    These are all the steps I would perform on my PC in a similar situation.
