Unable to reactivate my Trados 2017 Freelance license on a new device.

I have a 2017 SDL Trados Freelance license. Recently I changed my device and therefore would like to activate the license on the new device.
However, I received the following error message after entering the activation code and pressing Activate:  "Could not connect to the activation server. Check the activation server address in the provider settings. -The request was aborted. Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel." Please help!
