My computer broke, I've lost all data and I can't deactivate my 2-week-old Trados Studio Starter 2015 licence. Is there any way my licence can be saved so I can use it on my new computer?
My computer broke, I've lost all data and I can't deactivate my 2-week-old Trados Studio Starter 2015 licence. Is there any way my licence can be saved so I can use it on my new computer?
Hi Frank,
Of course... at the moment you need to ask the support team to do it as we have not implemented a self-service option for this version yet. Go to the Knowledgebase;

Then go to the tab called Solution Finder and now here;
Licensing Problems
- I use SDL Trados Studio 2015 / SDL Passolo 2015
-- I need to have my license reset
Pick the correct route for you and if appropriate you will be presented with a form that you can fill in to generate a support request and you will be contacted, normally within a day.
Also use the Chrome browser to log the case if you have it; you'll get more success in completing the form, and make sure your email address is entered correctly or nobody will be able to get back in touch with you.
