Whenever I try to deactivate the old version of Trados Studio 2017 on my old computer, either online or offline, I get an error message:
The sales operative suggested I go to C:\ProgramData\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\Studio14\Data and rename the Studio.lic file, but that folder does not exist on my computer. I only have the following folders:
How can I deactivate Studio?
No need to deactivate Trados 2017, you can simply uninstall it. Once you process the upgrade to Trados 2021, it won't work anymore.
Trados 2021 can be installed from your RWS account, Products and Plans - Downloads. Please process the upgrade from Products and Plans - Licenses. Make sure you follow all the required steps. Then the activation code for Trados 2021 will appear in Products and Plans - Licenses.
