Activation Issue with Trados Studio 2024 Starter – Free

Hello,

I'm having trouble activating my Trados Studio 2024 Starter – Free license.

Although my license appears to be properly registered and active in my RWS account (activated on May 12, 2025 and valid until August 7, 2025), I have not been able to use the software at all. It's been nearly 70 days out of the 90-day period, and I still cannot activate the product.

When I launch Trados Studio, the activation window appears. I enter my Starter license key in the “Activation Code” field under the Permanent License tab, but I receive the following error message:

“Activation failed. There are no licenses available for the specified activation code. Would you like to open the connection settings?”

I confirmed that my internet connection is working by running the connection test, and I also tried both online and offline activation. Nothing has worked so far.

I then attempted offline activation. After entering my license key, Trados generated an Installation ID. However, I could not proceed further because I could not find any option in my RWS account to generate an offline activation certificate. The button labeled “Can't activate online? – Get an offline Activation Certificate” does not appear anywhere in my Licenses & Subscriptions page.

Could you please advise how I can activate the Starter version properly before the license expires?
