When I try to deactivate Trados Studio in my old PC to activate it in a new one, I get this error message

I am following the instructions but somehow the process is blocked. Last Saturday when I deaactivated on the old PC in the new PC there came many other message errors like Internet settings and when activating offline the activation certificate failed 3 times. How shall I proceed? Thank you!

  • Just a note for future reference, when a license is reset - there is no need for a deactivation. A reset returns the license to Available mode so what you need to do next is to activate it on the new device.

    I cannot verify what exactly you did, but somehow you activated it today, as the Activation date is always registered in the system.

    I will open a new case with the technical team to reset it, but please do not try to do anything else on the old computer after this. The technical team does not follow community posts, so after I open the new case and they contact you via email, please reply to the technical team and let them know if all is ok or if you encounter an issue at activating it on the new computer.

    The error in question on the old one might be related to the license being already reset by the tech team.
