I have a Parser Comment coming in from XLF:
"TOURID-web-shell&CONTEXT-development preview guard hash top text"
I would like to pull out "web-shell" and put into a custom field. I have a macro displaying the parser comment just fine, but when I try to do any string processing it doesn't work.
Do you have example of using a string processing on this field?

The request is somewhat unclear because no specific error message was mentioned. There are many functions in Basic Runtime that can manipulate strings, so my answer is based more on assumptions. The problem could lie in the coding. The ParserComment is set when the file is parsed and then becomes a read-only property in the object model that cannot be changed. The best practice here would be to copy the string into a local variable and then manipulate it.

Thanks. I was getting some Object exception on it so before I went any further wanted to confirm it could be done. I have deleted and restarted code. It is now working. Thanks for the information above.
Can you tell me what do I call to save the PslSourceString object after updating?
There is no method PslSourceString.Save. Within this object you can change some properties, but it is part of a PslSourceList object which is a collection of PslSourceString. Here you can find various methods like PslSourceList.Open, PslSourceList.Save, and PslSourceList.Close. These will methods will then do the job.
