Is it possible to hide some of the strings in the string list?

Hello,

We have the following situation and I am wondering if there is some solution to it.

1) tbulic files are created for various languages for translation.

2) Some of the strings are to be translated only for one language.

3) Currently, these strings are translated also for all the languages.

I am wondering if there is any way to hide or exclude these irrelevant strings in the tbulic files.

    Excluding string entries from translation is usually a task for project managers or localization engineers and is done during project preparation in the main project (LPU).

    • If complete translation lists must be excluded from translation for specific target languages project managers can delete the translation lists from the project.
    • If string entries must be excluded from translation for all languages project managers can set them to read-only in the source list during the preparation phase.
    • If string entries must be excluded from translation for just specific languages project managers can set them to locked in corresponding translation lists during the preparation phase.

    Translators that receive a translation bundle can exclude string entries from translation by setting them to locked in translation lists during the translation phase. This will prevent that these entries are touched by automated processes like pre-translation etc.
