Cannot validate some strings

Hi, 
 I am checking the translation of some COM components using SDL Passolo 2015 (Collaboration Edition). 
 In a really huge project with more than 100 components, there is a handful of strings whose translation I cannot validate. 
 Whenever I try, Passolo will display the message "Cannot validate string(s)". 
 The strings in question are not read-only. The translator has added some translator comments that these strings are not really used. This might have been done using the SDL Passolo 2015 (Professional Edition). The translator comments cannot be edited. 
 I cannot understand what's going on. Can anybody help?

If the translator comments cannot be edited I would assume that these entries are locked or exported. So this is nothing that can be clarified here in the Community as someone needs to look into the project itself to find the root cause. Please log a support case at https://gateway.sdl.com/

String entries that are locked can easily be identified with the Locked symbol in the state column.
