With Passolo 2018 users can now convert project string lists not only into bundles but to SDLXLIFF for localization on Trados Studio or GroupShare. One issue can see being brought up by project managers is the discrepancies between the file analysis results (word/character counts, match percentages, etc.) between the two platforms.

I understand that there are some fundamental differences for how the two platforms count/analyze files - and the results don't seem to be too far off, but what I would like to know is, in brief, the methodology/logic for Passolo's file analysis, and perhaps a reason (any is fine - it's just a matter of forewarning the client at the pre-sales stage) why there are discrepancies with Trados Studio.
