Import failed: Error - invalid SDLXLIFF file: missing metadata (Trados Passolo 2018)

Question

The translator sent me the .sdlxliff data. 
 I tried to import the file but the Import failed an the following notification shows up:

Clearly something where you should log a support case at https://gateway.sdl.com/ . Support will ask for the project file and the SDLXLIFF file to reproduce the issue.
