No, this is not supported because it is a typical Java function that is not needed or requested for normal text files. Why are you not using the Java parser? Possible solution approaches are:

• Use the Java parser add-in
• Automate calling native2ascii with a system macro that implements the AfterGenerateTarget event
• Implement a user defined parser with the free SDK

Thanks, Achim . I found out that 2018 supports following sample.properties very well, but 2016 didn't. So in this case, I can upgrade to 2018.

But for some files that not standard at all, I guess I have to try your suggestion by using macro for automation. Thanks for the suggestion
