Incompletely Passolo bundle imported into LPU team version and strings released - Can't import updated Passolo bundle

I had a Passolo project going into various languages.
Our DA translator sent back her bundle which I assumed was fully translated. However, it ended up being either an old version or she just didn’t do the work right.
Anyway, I imported that bundle RELEASING the string list.
Then she came along later with an updated delivery that did have everything translated.
Obviously I couldn’t reimport that anymore.

I tried exporting a DA bundle again and seeing if I could re-import the bundle from our DA linguist taking that slot but it didn’t work.

Does someone know how to resolve this?

  • Hello Remco,

I assume that you are using one of the limited Team Edition (Team 5 or Team 10) where the number of bundles that can be exported simultaneously is limited.

Before importing a bundle that you receive from a translator you can open it using your Team Edition and check the content before you are going to import it and release the string list. After importing the bundle and releasing the string lists you can’t import them again. Each bundle has a unique identifier to enforce that only a limited number of bundles can be exported and imported in Team 5 and Team 10.

These restrictions and the corresponding best practices for a smooth workflow with external translator are explicitly described in the chapter The Team Edition in the online help.

    How to solve the problem:

    • Log a support case and attach the project and the bundle that must be imported. The support will be able to do the import.
    • In the future follow the best practices described in the online help
    • When you upgrade your license to a Team unlimited you can import the bundle again and again without limitation.

    Hope this helps.
