XLIFF: unable to comment out ph elements

Question

Try to exclude elements in XLIFF files from translating (seting comment, hidden, read-only), but it doesn't change anything. Added rule: But in the translation list the elements show up: In this exeample, only "Tools" should be translated. That content is not very useful for pretranslation, as you can imagine. Any suggestion how to correct this? Regards, Franz-Josef BTW: adding "pdns" to the selectors doesn't change anything.

XLIFF is an intermediate format specifically for translation. As a translation tool, the basic assumption is that the XLIFF-generating software knows exactly what needs to be translated and stores it in the <source> element. 
 The XLIFF rule supplied with Passolo will therefore not remove or mask any parts of the entry to be translated. By creating a modified XLIFF rule, this can be adjusted if necessary.
