Alignment in Passolo 2016 with XML?

I've had the following query from a customer:

Statistik_XML.XML
As you can see, most of the attached file is only missing in Italian. But in the other languages, there are few segments that are also untranslated.

Is there any possibility to make an alignment to see which segments are untranslated without looking through the whole file?

  • Unfortunately the person who created this XML structure wasn’t aware of some basic best practices on how to design localization friendly XML as described in Yves Savourel’s book XML Internationalization and Localization.

    In general it is doable quite quickly for one target language but some kind of tricky in the way how to configure the XML rule for SDL Passolo.

    To automatically align all translations from all target languages in the file it will be necessary to follow the best practice rules and change the XML structure into something more localization friendly like

    <Translation>
       <text xml:lang=“EN“>Edit settings</text>
       <text xml:lang=“DE“> Einstellungen bearbeiten</text>
    ….
