Running both PASSOLO 2016 and PASSOLO 2018

Question

Dear community, 
 I wonder if it is possible with PASSOLO 2016 Team Ed. and PASSOLO 2018 Tem Ed. (license server) to access stored 2016-LPU files with PASSOLO 2016. 
 The aim is to let them be under PASSOLO 2016 without upgrading them. Or is this not recommended?

Hi Alexander, 
if you have separate licences (no update licence from 2016 to 2018), you can install both versions und open the Passolo 2016 packages with the 2016 version. 
 
To open a 2016er package (writable) in 2018 – as you wrote – it must be updated and then is not compatible with Passolo 2016 anymore.

(This is about the "Use Passolo 2018 License" check box.) 
 
But I have no experience with this. We haven't done it yet.
