SDL Analyse 2019 Service Error: Access is Denied

Question

Hello, 
 I have just installed Studio 2019 and Analyse 3.0. When I start Analyse, nothing happens. If I go to Studio, SDL Analyse, it tells me the service is not running. 
 If I try to start the service manually, I get the Error 5: Access is denied.

What should I do?

This error normally refers to a lack of permissions when installing. Do you have admin rights on your machine?

 The error message I believe is most definitely being generated by 'Windows' which is causing the problem and not Studio/SDL Analyse 
 I understand that you are installing the app in a domain controlled machine and that you have multiple machines with the same error, which I do think is due to specific user rights. 
 There is a good article here that covers the many issues that affect Windows user access- again proper admin rights access will be required.

 Run the Installer as Admin 
 Switch Your User Account to an Admin Profile 
 Enable the Built-in Admin Account via Command Prompt 
 Open the Program Install and Uninstall Troubleshooter 
 Move the Installer to the C: Drive 
 Adjust the UAC Settings 
 Switch Off Antivirus Software 
 Restore Windows With System Restore

Now, please remove SDL Analyse completely from your system 
 (if you get an error message whilst removing the app- please start Services and STOP the 'SDL Analyse' service manually)

 c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\14\Plugins\Packages\app name\ 
 c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\14\Plugins\Unpacked\example app\

 c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\15\Plugins\Packages\app name\

 And then navigate to the following folder and delete SDL Analyse folder. 
 
 Now reboot your machine and check 'services' to ensure you cannot see SDL Analyse. 
 And try installing the app once again from the SDL App store- 
 appstore.sdl.com/.../

I think you should close Studio and uninstall SDL Analyse through the Windows Control Panel and then make sure the service is also uninstalled. Once it's completely removed make sure that you don't have any plugins in this location: 
 
c:\ProgramData\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\15\Plugins\Packages\ 
 
Also make sure this is empty: 
 
c:\ProgramData\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\15\Plugins\Unpacked\ 
 
Then reinstall version 3.1 and try again.

Thanks for the steps... excellent documentation! 
 
Can I ask you to to a reset on Studio please? If it still fails we'll have to seek advice from a developer on Monday as I have no idea what to try next. But I'd like to make sure that the errors we see now with the service running are not related to Studio as opposed to the app. 
 
You could use this app for the reset and this will also explain what you will lose by carrying out a reset before you do it: 
 
 appstore.sdl.com/.../ 
 
But if you'd rather do this manually then rename this folder (just add _old to the end or something, it's not important what you rename it to) and restart Studio: 
 
c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\15.0.0.0 
 
So the path would become this: 
 
c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\15.0.0.0_old 
 
Then restart Studio and try again.
