Google Cloud and Amazon Translate plugins and custom terminology feature + Google AutoML questions

Hello,

I was wondering if there's any plan to add to Google and Amazon Translate plugins the so-called "custom terminology" feature that would allow to "inject" a customer glossary into an MT project. We've been testing this feature via API call with both MT providers and it's working well, but at the moment we are unable to offer it to our customers via Studio, because it's not integrated in the CAT tool. Is this in the team's pipeline?

Also, is there any plan to release a plugin for Google AutoML, which would allow to use Google trained MT engines? i know that a third party plugin already exists and you mentioned it in another thread (https://www.browser-beijin.com/gcwg), but we woul prefer working with a plugin that is "approved" by SDL and available in the SDL appstore.

Thanks for any insight you may be able to provide!

Debora

This plugin is in the SDL AppStore.

Trados Live for 2021 users already has an option to use the Google V3 provider.

Notwithstanding these things here's the current situation for Studio itself:

    1. we are currently adding support for V3 of the Google Translate API into the MT Enhanced plugin so V2 and V3 will be available to you.  No timescales... but it's not far off completion
    2. we don't have any plans to do this with Amazon at the moment.  In fact we were not even aware this was possible.
    3. all of these plugins we use are open sourced and so you do have the possibility to extend them yourselves, or develop your own, and I would even encourage you to do this.  There is no need to wait for us to deliver this because these are not really on our roadmap at all.  Our job is to provide you with the tools to extend Studio so you can take advantage of any solution you like, and we have done this already.
