DeepL API doesn't function any longer - API key not recognized

We are running Studio 2019 SR2 15.2.8.3007. Suddenly, the DeepL plug-in doesn't accept the API key. Removed everything with DeepL context (credential bin etc.) under AppData/user/roaming (also local) etc. and re-installed newly downloaded plug-in. Still, the API key is not accepted ... and yes, the subcription is active.

What is the solution?

    I have tried to replicate the issue but are unable to do so 

    Please navigate to the following folder

    C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\16\Plugins

    And remove DeepL from both the unpacked and packages folder.

    Reboot your machine, restart Studio and install once again.

    If you previously installed via the appstore directly, please try via the Trados Studio appstore integration (or vice versa)

    In my first attempts, I had obviously missed some data of the plug-in, but on my last attempt I had deleted all connected files. Then, new installation of the plug-in - et voilà it works again. Still would like to know why this bug appeared all of a sudden.
