search DeepL Translation Provider in the appstore, press download, and select 3.8.12.0 (2017) to continue; instead of starting download, the following error is displayed. needs help!!!

I'm sure you saw the message in the appstore and must have clicked it away without even reading it! Also look at the message at the very top of this community.

I'm afraid it tells us you have not followed the instructions here: (Missing Wiki Page)
Please check again carefully and make sure that you are downloading the apps from the integrated appstore in Trados Studio. It's no use continuing to try and download from the web, you have to use the private appstore as described thoroughly in that wiki article.

Hi Paul, I really did use the private appstore. What I noticed though was that I had to reboot my laptop two (!) times before the plugin reappeared in the appstore lists as well as in the project settings. It was quite stressful that the changes and downloads appeared only after approx. 10 minutes and after rebooting the computer twice. This should be definitely mentioned in the troubleshooting. Besides, it is quite annoying that RWS requires its customers to move from one troubleshoot to another and doesn't deliver any quick and easy support except for you. So thank you for being available so quickly and being patient and helpful. But RWS has to step up regarding their performance.
