DeepL Pro - Studio - Multiterm

Hi all,
We are going to test the DeepL Pro plugin in Studio.
Does anyone know whether there is a way to make DeepL take the integrated Multiterm termbase into account?

Best regards

Hans

And no known plans to build that feature into the app, either by DeepL or by RWS?

DeepL don't do any work on the app at all.  They only provide an API for accessing their own features.  They do have a dictionary capability, and have had for several months, and we will use this in a future release when we get time to look at it. It's just lower on our own priorities at present.  Of course any developer is welcome to do this as we do opensource the code, but typically this never happens so I would not hold your breath!

Their dictionary won't use MultiTerm directly though so the eventual solution would be to populate a dictionary in your DeepL account ad then refer to this through a new option in the plugin.  I guess it may be possible to add a feature to create the dictionary in DeepL (or select one) and import the contents of a MultiTerm termbase into it.  That may help... but also opens up questions around how to handle synonyms etc.  All doable though.

For now our plan would be to support selecting a dictionary from DeepL and using it to replace preferred words in the MT offered interactively or via pre-translation.
