Thank you so much for the information! Very useful! I am a PjM and my client is asking if we can localize an app designed with Figma. With this plug-in, we can export texts for translation or our linguists translate directly in Figma or Trados? Can you please help and let me know the process? Many thanks for your help! Michiko

Hi Michiko Nakagawa 

The plugin provides a direct connection (via the API) from Figma to Trados (Team, Accelerate or Enterprise versions).
So the Figma user autheticates to Trados using a service user account, and then creates a project request in Figma against the project template availbale in Trados.
In Trados the project contains an xml file for translation with all the Figma Design strings, plus a png image to use as reference. Translators work in Trados, and the Figma user can pull back the translations using the plugin, when complete.

It sounds great, thank you! So translators do not need to be Figma users, correct? The translators can translate the xml file wit Studio + plug-in and send them back to Figma user using the plugin? And the xml file has all the formatting tags so that once the translation is back in Figma, only tidy up is necessary afterwards.
