Can't activate API key

Hello,

I recently purchased Trados Studio and I wanted to activate Copilot, so I went to OpenAI page and created an API key, but when I insert it in Copilot settings in Trados I keep receiving the same error message (screenshot below)

Screenshot of Trados Studio's 'Add Model Connection' settings window with a 'Connection Failed' error dialog box in front. Error code: 2146233088, message: Response status code does not indicate success: 404 (Not Found).

I already doublechecked API url, tried to generate new keys but nothing works. ah and of course I have a paid subscription to OpenAI.

I contacted SDL chat support and they told me to write here.

Can anybody help? :-)

Thank you in advance

There are three likely reasons for this error:

    • Wrong Subscription Tier or API Key: Ensure that the OpenAI subscription associated with your API key has access to the endpoint you are trying to use. If your subscription level doesn't support the feature or endpoint, it could lead to such an error.

    • Expired or Invalid API Key: Ensure that your API key is valid and hasn't expired or been deactivated. Using an invalid API key could lead to a failed connection.

    • Network or DNS Issues: It’s possible that there are issues related to the network, DNS, or firewall that are preventing access to the correct API endpoint.

I think it's most likely to be the first one as Oana noted, so please check that you have taken the appropriate billing tier for your use.  It's not enough to simply have a paid account.
