What I wanted to achieve

I searched for a way to quickly translate some words or a sentence where I'm not sure what that sentence means.
I did not want to clutter my browser experience using that translation bar or even using automatic translation,
because the source text has a better quality then the translated (given that I can read the source language).

What I already tried

• The obvious solution
  When you select a portion of a pages text and right click, there is an option called "Translate selection using Language Weaver".
  The only problem: It does nothing, if I click it.
• Does the translation work at all?
  After enabling the "Translation Bar", I was able to translate the whole page. So the translation it working in general.
  But I don't want to have that translation button on my web pages and in my opinion it takes too long to translate the entire page,
  even if I just wanted to know a single word or a special sentence.
