Do you feel strongly this is since you upgraded?
Any chance you have security software slowing down SR2?
That said are all other features of Trados Studio SR2 working as expected and you have isolated the issue to just this plugin?

It's 100% an issue with the plugin, not Studio. Everything else works just fine. I feel it's related to the update because I didn't use this plugin very much before the update, but with the few times I used it, I don't recall having issues. I already contacted DArek (Post-edit a CAT) and I am waiting on a reply, I posted this here just to see if anybody else was having the same issues.

LanguageTool Premium Performance
Regarding the issue with the speed of the Premium version, other users have also recently reported problems with the cloud/server. I can confirm that such issues have occurred. I am only the developer of the Trados Studio plugin and have no other connection to the LanguageTool project. Messages on segment confirmation
Regarding the messages after the confirmation of the segments, plugin logic is described in a PDF manual, which can be opened directly from the plugin and on online user's guide: https://posteditacat.xyz/using-the-plugin-user-guide-languagetool-plugin/

By default, the plugin does not check the Draft segments, which is why error messages do not appear directly after a segment is confirmed.
However, if a segment is part of a paragraph (i.e. there are several segments in a paragraph), the entire paragraph (i.e. all segments belonging to the paragraph) will be checked after confirming any segment in the paragraph. For this reason, messages for other segments may appear after confirming a segment, provided that these segments have been confirmed.

Personally, I have never looked at the messages that are added to the segments during the translation process. The only way I used verification was and is to run the verification after completing the translation (using the F8 key). If you really want to check error messages during the translation process, please uncheck the Draft checkbox in the plugin.




LanguageTool Premium vs. Local scenarios
Of course, I would rather not discourage you from using the Premium version of LanguageTool. The Premium version offers many advantages, especially for certain languages, but in Trados Studio, the Local server scenario is worth considering, works much faster, allows more advanced customization of user dictionaries, and custom rules using.
