Urgent - Cannot open a translated XLIFF file - Validation error

Question

Dear all, 
 I am a Project Manager. 
 A translator has just sent me a translated XLIFF file, telling me there is an issue with the XLIFF file as he cannot open it anymore. 
 When I try to open the file in Studio 2015, I receive the following message (sorry it is in French): "Erreur de validation XLIFF SDL : La balise de d&eacute;but 'sdl:seg' sur la ligne 1 &agrave; la position 24068958 ne correspond pas &agrave; la balise de fin de 'sdl:s'. Ligne 1, position 24069406." 
 
 How could I solve this tag issue if I cannot even open the file? 
 I would urgently need to find a solution as I have to deliver the translation as soon as possible. Do you have any idea how to solve this issue? Please let me know if you need more details. Thank you in advance for your help, Aude

Thanks for sending me the SDLXLIFF. I'm afraid the file is corrupt so you will not be able to recover this. You should ask the translator open the source file and pretransnlate it from the TM. That will get you a new SDLXLIFF that you can use which at least will contain the translations. If the project is corrupt, and it looks that way, then the match values are gone... but at least you can recover the translation.
