Dear Community,
The 17.12 update for SDL Managed Translation will be deployed to Production on Friday, 8th December 2017.
This latest release is very much focused on innovation, in delivering product enhancements requested by our customer base through direct communication, or submitted via the Ideas section on the SDL Managed Translation Community: -
Project Templates: Project Templates represent a significant optimization to the project creation process in Managed Translation. Project Templates can be defined to store common project creation settings such as language selection and attribute fields. Project templates have been designed to not only simplify project creation, but also reduce the risk of human error. A video demonstration of the Project Templates feature is provided below: -
Detailed Project Quotes: Users can now choose to receive detailed project quotes from Managed Translation, providing a full breakdown of linguistic and cost information corresponding to a project. The detailed project quote is enabled upon request for individual customers – users will not see any immediate change in behavior upon release of this feature.
Enhanced Project Approval: Greater flexibility has been introduced when configuring user group(s) able to approve projects in Managed Translation, including the following scenarios: -
- Project creation and approval should be the responsibility of different user group(s)
- Multiple work streams have different user group(s) assigned for project approval
As with all Managed Translation releases, the new features will be available to users immediately following deployment on Friday, 8th December 2017. For more information on any of the new features, please get in touch with your regular account contact at SDL or message me directly at iparnell@sdl.com.
