Symptoms:
When editing an attribute, SDL TMS would sometimes stop responding and force a reboot of IIS in order to bring the website back online.
Explanation:
This occurred because editing an attribute also checked where that attribute might be in use. Attributes that are used extensively were returning a very large data set for the "in use" information, which was then causing the server to consume too much memory.
Resolution:
The procedure for retrieving information about where the attribute is in use has been optimized to ensure that the returned data is not too large to cause the server performance degradation.
SDL-hosted customers should contact SDL Support to arrange for this hotfix to be deployed.
Customers who host SDL TMS themselves should download the installer for SDLTMS12.0 Hotfix for CRQ-9780.exe from the following FTP site: ftp://ftp-emea.sdlproducts.com/SDL TMS/12.0/Hotfix/
